The Creative Economy: How to Monetize an Audience of Only a Thousand People
The idea is that if you can monetize an audience of only a thousand people and get them to say, pay a monthly subscription fee of $8 a month, then you're making $100,000 a year. And there's kind of some case studies of this on Patreon where you've got some musicians doing that. Some artists do that on Etsy who will sell prints and maybe 1000 people buy them, but they are making a good living because there's enough of them that they can monetize.
