i'm totally about patriotism in the healthiest sense of loving your country, while i am an opponent of blind nationalism. And that seems to correlate too much, at least a significant percentage, of evangelical conservatism in this country. When they took these ideals of warrior masculinity, a man who was not afraid to do what needed to be done, and then could have twisted their faith to a line with that, so that the jesus of the gospels became a warrior christ.
