How to Teach English to My Saudi Brothers and Friends

How would you teach other people English if they're complete beginners? This is something I haven't really spent a lot of time thinking about to be honest, because most people that I interact with are already at an intermediate to advanced level. So maybe talk to them in your native language about the uses of English,. why it's important, what they can do with it. All of those sorts of things I think I would focus on first rather than say, you know, giving you a grammar book that you need to go through with them.
