The Role of Women in Student Loan Debt
Women now outnumber men at post-secondary. They're more likely to pursue higher education, therefore they incur higher debts. And then after they graduate, because their salaries are lower, it's harder for them to service the debt than it is for men. So women end up carrying larger student loan balances and for such a longer time than men. I think if you're going to have a baby with a man, he has to pay off your student loans. Such a good rule.
