The Impeachment of Attorney General Ken Paxton
In Texas, the Republican-controlled state House brought 20 impeachment counts against Attorney General Ken Paxton. The Department of Justice has been investigating him for five years but hasn't brought indictments. In most bribery or public corruption cases, you've got a quid pro quo problem,. That's not what the allegations are in Texas. He came so close to being a U.S. Senator. And this is a fun little story: After I wrote that I was against Roy Moore becoming a U.s. Senator, two families turned their backs to us rather than even look at us because I did not want this man to be a United States Senator.
