The Importance of Mindfulness in Therapy
I've always approached therapy as a dynamic meditation as a two person as an interpersonal meditation that was really my my frame for it because I came into it by going to medical school which is a weird way to become a therapist. Mostly what you learn in medical school is not anything has nothing to do with therapy but then when you do a psychiatry rotation they give you a patient or two to be therapist. So all of a sudden I have very little training other than being on meditation retreats and by that time I'd been in therapy myself so I knew how to imitate my therapist in the room with a patient.
