Tolkien and Allay: Theology and Subcreation

Tolkien was a medievalist. His early work is more theologically minded and philosophical. Once we start getting from the mythic to the heroic, it's a very different feel. You won't see this anymore when we're talking about the elves coming back to Middle Earth - or there just won't be any of that. But yeah. So, it's very, very specific. We're dealing with very philosophical concepts, cosmogony and creation of life.
