Myrtle Trees in the Old Testament

Myrtle tree is associated with images of restoration. The word used here is more typically understood as the deep or the depths elsewhere in the old testament. Jordan suggests that we might see in myrtle trees some similarity to cedar trees that are used in the temple building. Imagery of divine horses is seen in the book of second kings, chapter two.
