The Importance of Batting Your Best Hitter Second

RBI's are a huge problem because about half of what goes into an RBI's, what the hitters ahead of you on the lineup are doing. How much you get on base is kind of within your control, but how much the guys behind you hit and hit for power is totally out of your control. The basic idea between batting your best hitter second though is that you want your best hitter to come up as often as possible over the course of each game.
