The Relationship Between Physical Activity and Appetite Management

The amount we eat is not solely dictated by energy expenditure and energy intake. We have reward centers in our brain that really light up and enjoy it when we eat things that taste good. So there's always this kind of balance between this hedonically driven eating and this homeostatic kind of physiologically driven eating. And so going from very sedentary to kind of active, in many cases is going to reduce our non-homeostatic hedonic eating.
