I've seen it where a company hiring will look at how many Twitter followers you have, or if you have a successful YouTube channel. The other red flag to me is not considering that non-technical folks can be on the DevRel team as someone who's non-technical. I really appreciate companies that have a fuller understanding of all the different pieces and how to get the right people in those roles.
