The Value of Games in Podcasting
A game, as we had said, is made of rules. And the nice thing about rules is they can force us to think outside of our usual routines. If your brain tends to go a certain direction and you give yourself a rule that doesn't allow you to go that direction, it can take you to all sorts of new ideas. The most obvious type of game for this kind of thing is the whole randomization. I feel I did a story of Love and Horror, which was a three part story built around these characters, but the characters were chosen entirely by randomization. That's a game.
