Introduction
The Cropova Festival began in 1687 to mark the end of the sugarcane harvest. The festival lasts between two and three months from June until the first Monday in August. It is a spectacular event including live music, flower festivals and art events. There is also the Junior Calypso Monoc competition where children compete to win musical competitions.
