Sociologists collect data, but what do they do with it? This is the problem with sociology that even like adorna and horkeim ere pointed out in their criticisms. It's a lot easier to think that you just have more or less useful forms or frameworks that you just shove a bunch of data into. How do we know what's true about society? How does society understand itself? Why does that change in history? this brings us to the problem of value.
