The Role of Genetics in Rosacea
There is a dysbiosis or an imbalance in what the normal ratios should be of all these little bugs, you can get skin issues. In particular with rosacea, it's thought that there's a higher count of demodex, which is actually a mite. This is a mite that's common in many people's skin who don't have rosacea. But for whatever reason, the counts are either higher in rosacea skin or the patient's skin is more sensitive to this mite.
