Is There a Subject Separate From Us, From an Object?

I don't think there is any fundamental distinction between subject and object. A materialist would make the assumption that objects are exhaustively describable through quantities. And i know for a fact that it isn't, because my inner life is constituted of qualities, not only quantities. But then you run into another problem because of one's metaphysical assumptions. If i have good reason to think i am fundamentally separate from the world out there, then by the same token, the left hemisphere of my brain is fundamentally different from the right. Then you have to explain why our inner lives feel unitary,. That's how we experience it, our inner lives.
