The Sixty Three Mission of Tong Ti Sung
Six forty three is an interesting time in history for tong ti sung. Some scholars have suggested all four of these embassies to the tang court, the eastern roman emperor, had chinese political or military support as an ulterior motive. From the historiography perspective, this six forty three mission was yet another unsatisfying meal. The seven o one and seven 19 missions, like i said, weren't political in nature, and were most likely led by nestorian monks.
