Person Affecting Theory
Person affecting views try to make rigorous sense of the idea that bringing extra person into existence is neither good nor bad for that person. Some versions of person affecting theory will say things like, a and b have different numbers of people in them. It's really hard to do it in a way that doesn't run into either inconsistency or massive incomparability. Yet, there are some interesting sounding ideas that have the person affecting label attached to them, but it's very unclear what the theory is there.
