The Cost of Regulating Schools
There is sufficient grounds for schools to be de-recognized if they are non-compliant. But what is the compliance burden? If you look at the rules that are present, some of them don't seem to make too much sense. And this again becomes a fit case for rent-seeking. The rule that was actually meant to create certain kind of output is being counterproductive in another way.
