The Pain of the Second Arrow
In a sense we don't have to do anything in order to be with a painful situation. As we take some deep breaths, we allow ourselves to feel whatever it is we're feeling. We notice what thoughts arise in our mind and let them pass without grasping on to them or judging them. These are the feelings that lie underneath ore, fear, anger, anxiety and reactivity. compassion, ampathy, humility, vulnerability, sadness, grief, good will and generosity. Sincere prayer may arise.
