There are two factions in Thebes at this time. One of the factions is made up of the old guard, the older nobility. These guys are generally in favor of continuing to mend relations with Sparta. Leon Tyadys and his party convert Thebes into a pro-Sparta police state. Many of their leaders go into exile if they can escape arrest.
