Introduction

Poet Katie Ferris was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 37. She went through chemo, had a mastectomy and radiation which led to heart problems and nerve damage. The likelihood that it will return is higher than the likelihood that it won't. But the poems are anything but bleak; you can just feel her pulse on these pages.
