Even a day later, the Japanese government wasn't entirely in agreement that an atomic bomb had in fact been dropped on Hiroshima. Showing further arrogance, Japan refused to acknowledge that America was advanced enough to actually build an atomic bomb. "They misunderstood our ingenuity, our capacity for vengeance, our near unlimited resources," he says.
