In the twentieth century, christian theologians came to reject the classical understanding of god in favor of divine passibility. The new pasiblists were staunchly affirming that god must have great impathy with creatures. Genifer hurt says that this passablist movement is partially explained by the importance of sympathy. So here's an expanded version of my talk at the world parliaments of religions.
