What Is Uglification?
Ugly is not a status, that somebody is ugly. Is how we choose to perceive people. Uglification is these beliefs that we have around who is beautiful and who is not beautiful and why. And then it is the behaviors and the actions and the practices and laws that we create to punish people for being ugly. Did you know that there were literally ugly laws in this country? No, no, yes, yes. There were actual Laws in this country that made it so that if somebody who was perceived as unsight could be given tickets for being out in the street. They could be charged to fine, they could be arrested. The folks that they were calling ugly were: disabled
