The Cost of Obamacare in Tennessee
Tennessee did not expand Medicaid or create a parallel program as a result of Obamacare and Arkansas created a parallel program by Republican governor. So that's cost Tennessee roughly about $20 billion, we're talking about maybe 40% of potential hospital closures in many of these communities because of the loss of funding. And then what happened was that when Governor Bill Haslam attempted to propose a parallel program in conversation with health advocates, they passed a law that said he can't do that unless it's approved by the state legislature.
