I think that if theory has a relationship to political practice, the uncharitable reading is that they start to think about discursive articulation as political practice. And that's how we end it up with philosophy conferences full of people who like, think they're fighting power or something. I mean, this is really like european scholars, from what they tell me, come to european come to american conferences, and theyre cind like, what is going on here? Like everyone sort of thinks therat a political meeting.
