The Advantages of Cash Transfers
I'm curious if you can maybe spend some time clearer spelling out how you see the path to influencing government budgets or large philanthropists. I guess both of us come from some kind of effect of altruist perspective. And I see some tension from my own view of EA. There is no reason why we could not in our lifetimes very easily solve the problem of extreme poverty. It requires convincing people that there are things they can do which will make a difference, and reminding people of whyextreme poverty is so horrifying.
