What's the Main Thing in Bob's Lab?
I worked on transdermal drug delivery there. We were trying to deliver both small and large molecules through the skin, which is very challenging because the skin is obviously a pretty variable entity on different people. In Bob's lab, it's always practical applications of breakthrough science. The third thing that has been maybe at least as important if not more than the other two is people do their best work when they feel good. That sounds like what your advisor back at graduate school did. I mean, he's demanding. He expects excellence.
