Legal Aid - What's Next for the ICC?
I believe in the lawyers who have kept the wheels of justice turning during this pandemic. I think having seen the substantive proposals we've put forward, I think it would be extremely disappointing if they didn't support us. The consultation period is basic public law principles and they're there to make sure that we consult carefully. What it will mean is we'll pass an SI in October, and that's when the additional funds will hit lawyers' pockets and bank accounts, so to speak"
