When the baby is being placed into your hands, try to engage as many senses as you possibly can in that moment. Take mental notes of what does the room look like? What are you wearing? Just to try to help your memory. This is very this is very hard to do for people who are first time dads. There's so many emotions and you know, like things are happening.
