The NHL's Re-Segregation of Black Players

Willio Rhee, a black man from New Brunswick, was called up by the Boston Bruins in 1958. His accomplishment wasn't even noted in the broadcast of that game. Even O'Rhee downplayed his accomplishments publicly. It wasn't until 1974 that another black man would put on an NHL jersey and skate onto the ice. But did the NHL re-segregate itself in those intervening years?
