The Anti-Theatrical Discourse

In Shakespeare's lifetime, there was this big debate about the morality of theater. I think a lot of this anti-theatrical discourse is in keeping with Protestant iconoclasm. It reflects an increasing knowledge of an affinity for Plato as opposed to Aristotle.
