There's an authoritative style of preaching, which is carismatic. What we need is to train people theologically who are going to be in church leadership so that they don't spout all that nonsense. The trouble i see is that it still often positions the preacher or the pastor as the one with the answers. And you can't just pock up a book that was written thousands of years ago and just pretend like it was written personally to you anyway.
