The Importance of Understanding Language

The point that you're driving at is you don't have any intelligence to begin with. Increasing accuracy doesn't make more intelligent. It just makes more accurate. You don't get more understanding. And you're not so there's nothing to scale here. So you're not getting any closer to something like artificial general intelligence or a machine that understands because all you're ever going to get. Think, at least so far is symbol manipulation and it can be, you know, manipulation based on statistical probabilities. But nonetheless, we get no understanding. We're just in the wrong arena.
