Food Counter Culture in the Sixties and Seventies
In 19 69, there was a group called the robin hood commission a who basically did some digger action. They seized a vacant lot owned by the university of california and started planting food hellye one to create a new co operative society based on uncontaminated food. At this point, in the sixties and seventies, it was explicitly a rejection of the military industrial complex. By rejecting these chemicals, they are saying, you know, dow and monsanto make these fertilizers,. And me're not ok withthat. We are making natural food as like a political statement.
