In the day when i did java development, there was no concept of commits. Things were not lea oisy. So sometimes you'd run into the situation werews like, will crap. But just being able to undo and figure out was working here would have saved me a whole buchi. It's long way of me saying, plus one, you commit. You can do it. Local. Commits cost you nothing. And then you have a point in time that you can always refer back to.
