Did Air Traffic Control Get in Trouble?
The captain's initiation of a rejected take off was delayed by about two to four seconds because he was occupied with a nose wheel steering tiller and right control wheel input. Had the captain immediately reapplied significant right rudder pedal input as the air was continuing its left turning motion, the airplane would not have departed the runway. There was adequate information available to air traffic control, but they either didn't look at it or didn't pass that information on to the pilot. Did they get in trouble for i don't know for certain. We got to figure out how to monor these mountain waves and then get that information to the air traffic control so they can take it into account.
