The Importance of Ideology in the City of God

In the parts of the city of God that we read today, there are two categories of ideology and culture. Christian ideology is focused on personal ethics and posthumous salvation; Pagan ideology focuses on worldly gratifications. But historically, Augustine's model of two cities shows a broad dismissal of actual religious ideologies in the world around him.
