The theory of charging threat states and athletes is about kind of demands and resources. So in essence, what happens is if you demand outbaited resources, you'd experience a negative state. But if you've got more resources than demands, you would experience something called a challenge state. When we're feeling under pressure, these might be demands. And demands are often things like you care about it.
