The Dangers of a Universal National Care Service
This will be a universal service. And there are elements to it, your focus on staff retention,. and quality staff, quality employment and so on. I mean, I know it's a statement of the obvious, but it's going to cost quite a lot of money. Now, before an election, this is all taboo. But isn't there a danger that this is such a big issue? The political will is just never there to find the money for a universal national care service. Any politician after the next election is going to have to look at paying conditions.
