Transhumans in Italy - A Brief History
Altillo Cepino was founded in the 4th century BCE by the pre-Roman Samnites. It is one of the first places in ancient Rome where transhumans as an economic activity became official. The Romans established rules to go verna transhumans that passed through this gate. Vaccine the shepherds for each sheep and there were tens of thousands.
