Get Better at Estimating
There are two things that we can do to avoid this problem. The first one is to get much better at estimating. I feel like the person who's delivering the estimate should be the one who is responsible for its accuracy. Giving fixed bids is a very scary thing to do, but it allows you to create a really large value bar on the right hand side of the grap which gives you more wiggle room in the middle.
