Fog bank FOGBANK is a code name given to a secret material used in W76, 78 and W88 nuclear warheads. It's an aerogel material that's part of the inter-stage material for the bomb to go off. The information was eventually recovered after more than a year of reverse engineering how raw data was encoded onto the tape.
