Limiting Noise Pollution Is a Huge Human Health Challenge

Ecoacoustics is a science of listening to individual organisms. Scientists have discovered entirely new species this way. A camera can catch an animal walking down the forest path, but a microphone can hear them hiding in the bushes. There's another important difference which is much more sci-fi and speculative, which is about the potential for interspecies communication. Some scientists believe we're going to be able to use these technologies to essentially invent a non-human or zoological version of Google Transciate.
