Bashar Al-Assad was the son of Syrian dictator Hafez Alasad. Bashar replaced his brother Basil, who died in 1994 after a car crash. Hefez Al-Assad tried to remake Assad into an image that would make him palatable to Syria's people. The movie is based on true events and has been described as "kind of bad"
