The Boy Scouts' Obsession With Native Americans

The idea was if you want to signify to the campers as they arrive on the first day of camp that they're actually entering a foreign new world then you use the most readily available foreign signifiers which in the history of the United States are indigenous peoples. It's just this idea of like romanticizing natives and of course that happened after America had already like murdered most of its natives. You have to last to the Mohicans population. And so there's actually I was kind of- But I think that was I remember in the parent trap there was like definitely that like there's oftentimes like totem poles and they're using like imagery for their cabins.
