In terms of what I practically recommend, to be honest, I don't even dive into that degree of detail when it comes to recommending things to patients. I recommend a whole food plant-based diet. If you want on a big potato, have at it a big green leafy salad each day. Other whole grains like quinoa, spelt oats, beans are great, lentils are great.
