There are really to a physicist only two kinds of energy kinetic energy and potential energy there are no other other kinds right are there i mean there's dark energy wow we're to skew us with our own terrible names you totally right but we don't know what dark energy is one theory is that it's like the fundamental quantum potential energy of all of these fields in which case it would be a kind of potential energy.
