The Left Wing Over Heat Light
The left wing over heat light came on approximately 90 seconds after the indication of hydraulic failure. Heat could have ruptured the hydraulic hoses or damaged seals in the hydraulic components to the extent that the hydraulic pressure and fluid were lost. It was not determined why there was a loss of main hydraulics. However, the loss was undoubtedly related to the fire or intense heat in the wheel well. And under these conditions, the contaminated fluid would have self ignited at temperatures exceeding 425 degrees celsius. So because of the slower flash point, the tires ignited when exposed to flame. These conditions were sufficient to perpetuate the cycle and to continue to raise the temperature in the wheelWell.
